Tammun: Over 71 bullets shot into car with parents and children inside
In the early hours of the morning on Sunday 15th March 2026, Israeli undercover occupation forces infiltrated the town of Tammun (south of Tubas) – bringing military forces from the Ein Shibli and Tayasir military checkpoints.
They opened fire at a civilian car carrying members of the Bani Odah family, killing 4 out of the six family members: Ali Khaled Sayel Bani Odah, 37, his wife Wa’ed Othman Aqel Bani Odah, 35, and two of their children, Mohammad, 5, and Othman, 7. Their other two children, Mustafa, 8, and Khaled, 11, were injured by shrapnel in the head and face.

Reports from the Palestinian Health Ministry stated that all four family members who were killed were shot in the head. Eyewitnesses told Quds News that the vehicle was ambushed inside the town and not at a military roadblock, and that no exchange of fire took place.
11 year old Khalid Bani Odeh, who survived the assassination of his family, said in an interview published by Quds News on instagram:
We were on our way back from Nablus, and went down from where the Nabulsi restaurant is, and they opened fire directly at us, we didn’t even understand where from. Everyone in the car was martyred except for me and my brother Mustafa. The soldier then came and pulled me out of the car, and started beating me savagely. Then they took my brother Mustafa out of the car and tried to beat him up as well so I got in between them so they pushed me to the ground and started kicking me on the back with their boots. The soldiers said they had killed the dogs.
Last thing my father said “There is no God but Allah”, lifting his finger up and that, and my mom started shouting, but then went silent. My brothers weren’t breathing. I thought that my brother Mustafa was also martyred. None of them made any sound.
Mohammed was in the middle talking to my father, laughing. I was… I had a headache, and my brother Mustafa was there, behind my mom. When they started shooting, I went down hiding my head, and Mustafa did the same. I tried to pull Muhammed, but they opened the door and pulled him out. I pushed the soldier’s hand away from him, and then they pulled me out and started beating me.
After killing the family, occupation forces towed away the bullet‑riddled Palestinian car and took it to an unknown destination. 71 bullets were found by the rescuers. Residents said the car was struck by multiple rounds, consistent with targeted operations carried out by Israeli undercover units.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stated that its medics were prevented by Israeli soldiers from reaching the wounded.
Al‑Jazeera Arabic reported that the family was returning home when the undercover unit intercepted their vehicle. The Israeli army later claimed it was conducting an “arrest operation,” but provided no evidence that the family posed any threat.

Tammoun has faced repeated invasions by Israeli forces in recent months, often involving undercover units, drones, and armoured vehicles. The killing of the family adds to the rising number of Palestinians shot and killed during Israeli military invasions across the northern Jordan Valley and Tubas area, where lethal force has been used with increasing frequency. Occupation efforts to ethnically cleanse the communities in the Jordan Valley have sharply increased in the past few weeks as the Israeli government begins building a 500km apartheid wall and military road through the area. This wall is planned to eventually go from the Golan Heights to the Red Sea.
Since the beginning of the Israeli military aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, occupation forces and settlers have killed 1132 Palestinian citizens, and injured 10,483 in the occupied West Bank, including 232 children and 24 women. In the Tubas governorate, 102 Palestinians have been killed, according to the Shireen Observatory.
