On 24th March 2026, Israeli occupation forces set up a flying (temporary) checkpoint in the Khirbet Yarza area in the north Jordan Valley. They searched everyone entering and leaving the area, which included an invasive inspection of their mobile devices.

They found a photo of a police car on a mobile device and proceeded to physically assault one of the farmers, named Mahmoud. Mahmoud, who had a previous injury in his legs from an accident, was specifically beaten on his legs and as a result had to be taken to the hospital, suffering bruising on both legs.
