On 10th March occupation forces demolished the homes of two families in Ein Shibli, close to Hamra checkpoint in the Jordan Valley. At the same time they closed the checkpoint, which is the main route between the Jordan Valley and Nablus, Tubas and the rest of the West Bank.

They raided Ein Shibli village, firing tear gas and terrifying the families, then expelled the families of Jamal Khalil Al-Amari and Mazen Khalil Al-Amari from the area. The families had recently constructed their homes at a cost of $7,500, which they have now lost.

By closing the checkpoint the occupation forces blocked anyone else from entering the area. This has disrupted families, farmers and other workers traveling in and out of the Jordan Valley.
