Ain Hajila 4Feb2014Ein Hajleh village, located in the southern Jordan Valley, was  destroyed by Israel in 1967. Since then, no Palestinians have lived there. But five days ago, on Friday 31st January 2014, a group of Palestinian activists arrived to reoccupy the area.

Yesterday, 4th February 2014, the Israeli Occupation Forces came to take away the signs, placed all over the road by the activists, signaling the event. People tryed to stop the army, by taking back the signs, even those already inside the jeeps.

Ain Hajila 4Feb2014 The soldiers responded with live bullets and pushed the people out of the road. At first, it was only a couple of jeeps, but in the end there were about 40 soldiers. The Palestinians (about 60 people) ended up returning to the village.
