1st March 2026. At 4.30pm a group of six illegal Israeli settlers attacked Muhammad Abdullah Bani Awda in the village of Khirbat al-Hadidiya. The Palestinians from the community came to defend Muhammad against the attack. The settlers called the Israeli military, who came and severely beat the Palestinians who were at the scene. The military and settlers then arrested several Palestinian men: Omar Arif Bisharat, 68; Muhammad Abdullah Bani Ouda; Lutfi Muhammad Fahd Bani Ouda; Muhammad Ali Bani Ouda and his sons Ali, Jaafar and Ahmed.

Whilst the other Palestinians were released after 2 hours, Omar Arif Bisharat and Muhammad Abdullah Bani Ouda continued to be held by the military under arrest.
