Humsa 13/3/2026: Settlers attacked the Qusai’ family in Humsa in the early hours of the morning on 13th March. They handcuffed the men and the activists by their legs, pulled down one of the men’s pants and beat him on his feet. The men were dragged by their hair and legs to another tent in a terrifying manner and beat them repeatedly. They blindfolded them, interrogated them and beat them in cycles of abuse. One man was sexually assaulted. In total four men from the family were severely beaten, along with two international solidarity activists who also got their phones and passports stolen.

At 4.40am the army and Israeli police arrived in the community.

The community called the Red Crescent as six people needed hospital treatment, including an elderly man who had sustained head injuries from the stone thrown by the settlers. However, when three ambulances arrived the army closed the gate for 20 minutes, claiming the area was a military base. They then allowed one ambulance in, ordering them to drive slowly, saying ‘you don’t want problems with the settlers’.

The ambulances eventually arrived at Tubas hospital several hours later. Three of the men required x-rays, and the fourth a CT scan and suturing to his head.
