Tubas region locked down for second time in a week
On Monday 1st December, the Israeli military once again launched a raid on Tubas in the early hours of the morning, just over 24 hours after a four-day curfew and military operation ended on Saturday 30th November. The incursion began around 3:30 am local time, imposing an absolute curfew on Tubas’ residents and closing all the town’s main and secondary access roads with earth mounds, completely sealing it off.

Due to the curfew, school attendance has been indefinitely suspended. All economic activity has ceased, as workers have been prevented from reaching their jobs since early morning. Even medical staff have been barred from carrying out their humanitarian work. Farmers could not reach their lands in the surrounding villages of Bardala, Kardala, and Ein Al-Beida.
The occupation forces stormed several homes in the Al-Hadiqa neighborhood of Tubas, evicting some of the residents. The houses belonging to Nasser Abu Matawa and Fawzi Al-Anbousi were seized and turned into military posts.
In Aqaba, located 15 kilometers away from Tubas town, two Israeli military helicopters were seen dropping off dozens of soldiers as part of the wider raid on the governorate. Once again, the occupation forces raided the town, converted several homes into military posts, and expelled their residents. Other areas of Tubas governorate were also affected: military bulldozers began closing main roads and cutting off segments of the province, including Deir Street, which connects Ainun, Tubas, and Tammun.
They also tightened movement restrictions across the entire area – even the Red Crescent health services were obstructed. The occupation army confiscated civilian vehicles blocked at Tayasir checkpoint, closed by the occupation itself.
