On 20th October 2014 the occupation forces invaded the Palestinian Bedouin communities in Fasayil and Al Jiftlik and the Jordan Valley. They came under cover of darkness with around 40 army jeeps and bulldozers, and destroyed the homes, animal shelters and food preparation kitchens for six extended families.

Some of the families had previously been issued with demolition orders, but others had not. This didn’t make any difference to the way they were treated.

In Al Jiftlik, three extended families had to look on as their homes and buildings were demolished:

  • The Mohamed Musa Abu Aram family had two homes, an animal shelter and a kitchen demolised. They have also been issued with a demolition order for another home, and are therefore fearful that the occupation forces will return and destroy that aswell. There are thriteen people in the family, including 9 children.
  • The Qadri Darwish family had their garage demolished by two bulldozers, even though they had not been issued with a demolition order.
  • The Islaimon Taufik family had their home homolished for the third time, despite having had not demolition order issued. There are 9 people in the family.

Demolition orderIn Fasayil village, the Hassein Yassin family had an animal shelter demolished. This family of eleven, with three children, have now had their buildings demolished six times.
