Last thursday, 10.02.2011, Miswaneh community faced demolitions from the occupational forces.

Zohdi Ahmad Nasasri is the head of a family of 10 people, among them two babies. His family settled in this area fifteen years ago and this land belongs to them for generations.

Two months ago Zohdi received a demolition order from the occupation forces and last thursday five of his structures were destroyed. Two of them were houses.

The baby sheep were killed during the demolitions and the family was left without a cup to drink tea.

Six families live in Miswaneh and as most of the Palestinian living in the Jordan Valley, specially in area C, they have to buy water from the Israeli company Mekorot or to go to the few Palestinian villages in area B. Consequantly they have to travel many kilometers with their tractor and mobile water tank to bring back some water to their home.

While settlers enjoy running water that comes from deep wells dug in Palestinian land.

To demolish houses and to prevent people to have access to water and basic services is part of the Israeli policy of transfer of Palestinian populations out of the Jordan Valley.
