On 22nd January 2014 the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) destroyed four houses and 16 shelters in the Jordan Valley communities of Yarza and Bzeeq. At 10.00am sixteen IOF jeeps and two bulldozers invaded Bzeeq village which is located to the north of Tubas town, and destroyed two houses which were built before 1948 from stones and mud.They also destroyed the cables for the solar panel which provides the village with it’s electricity.The owners of the demolished houses are Malek Mahmoud Ali Saleh Sawaftah and Eassa Mahmoud Yousif. 16 people were made homeless as a result of the demolitions at this village.

The same IOF jeeps, bulldozers and soldiers then went directly to Yarza village which is located to the east of Tubas in the north of the Jordan valley. They destroyed two houses belonging to Fayes Hamid Abed Daraghmeh and Mothqal Fayiz Hamed Daraghmeh, and again destroyed the electricity cables to the solar panels. This is the second time that these families have been made homeless as a result of the army destruction, the first time was in 2013 .

Thirteen families live in Yarza village, all of whom have been subjected to the violent destruction of their homes by the IOF on several occasions. The village mosque has been destroyed twice on 25th November 2010 and again in 2011.

The IOF also arrested a women called Kifah Naji and her husband, and held them for 5 hours.
