Settler harrasses Ein El Hilwa farmer
On Wednesday 20 April, one of the families in Ein El Hilwe bedouin community in the north of the Jordan Valley was visited by a settler coming down from Maskiyyot illegal colony.
The settler drove down in a blue car, armed with a gun and approached the tent of the family, telling Fathi, the father, that their cows were forbidden to eat the grass on the hill which is less than twenty metres from the family’s tent.
The family are worried and afraid because usually they need to pay high fees due to decisions made by the army about where the animals can and can not be. They are also concerned because the settlers from this colony have beat many of the residents for this reason, including children.
This is just one example of the continuous harassment this community faces from both illegal Israeli settlers and the Israeli army.
