Vittorio’s school
In memory of Vittorio, the Italian activist killed last week in Gaza, we decided to give his name to our new school in Ras Al Awja.
Vittorio was and will stay a great symbole of resistance. To give his name to one of our schools is an honor, we will do our best to make this school an another example of resistance against the occupation.
We are grateful to his family who accepted our request. We wish to have the opportunity to meet them and to give them our condolences.
Luisa Morgantini, former Vice President of the European Parliament and Majed Al Fityani, Jericho Governor, along side members of the local community and Jordan Valley Solidarity volunteers, laid the first brick of the Vittorio Solidarity school on a visit to the site On 25th April 2011.
This grass roots project is an example of the strengthening resistance against the occupation and our determination to build a new future for the Jordan Valley and the whole of Palestine.
