Occupation accelerating plans to annex Jordan Valley and seize Palestinian land
Through this policy of apartheid and discrimination, the occupying government is placing more than 50,000 residents in an uninhabitable prison, isolating them from life, the economy, and the freedom to work, move, access education, and healthcare. All of this is done by the occupation to destroy the resources necessary for survival and life, and even to escalate violence and destruction in an attempt to displace all Palestinians from their land.

Reports in Haaretz, citing a military document, have exposed the Zionist state’s plans to build a separation wall in the Jordan Valley, to isolate the Zionist colonies from the Palestinian villages and to separate the Palestinian villages from one another.
The planned wall will be 22 kilometers long and 50 meters wide, and the army will demolish all Palestinian homes and buildings located along its route.
Information from the Anti-Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority shows that the occupation authorities have seized 1,042 dunams of land in Tubas and the Northern Jordan Valley through 9 military seizure orders. These primarily target Tammun, Tayasir, Talouza, and Tubas, in preparation for the construction of a 22-kilometer long road extending from Ein Shibli in the south to Al-Aqaba in the north.

The Anti-Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority clarified that while the orders appear separate, when mapped together, they form a single project to create a strategic corridor serving the army and settlers, encircling Khirbet Yarza area and preventing Palestinians from accessing pastures in the eastern plains spanning tens of thousands of dunams.
The road is classified as a “security road,” a designation typically used by occupation authorities to open military routes that later (in 90% of cases) transform into roads serving settlements and separating Palestinian communities.
The confiscated area forms a wide swathe of land that will reshape the geographical landscape, creating a physical barrier between Tubas town and nearby villages, paving the way for settlement expansion and their connection to a larger road network.
The region is already witnessing a clear escalation in settler attacks, confirming that the project is part of a plan to deepen the de facto annexation of the Jordan Valley and entrench occupation control over it.
The occupation forces also issued demolition notices for greenhouses, farms buildings and farmer’s dwellings in Tubas and the Jordan Valley during the last week. In an escalation of the pressure on local communities the orders include a warning – if the owners do not demolish their own buildings they will face exorbitant fines. These charges are officially referred to as the costs to the occupation for carrying out the demolition, but in reality they are a punishment for anyone who doesn’t comply with the orders of the occupation and are designed to economically cripple Palestinian farmers in the area, forcing them to leave their land.
Rashid Khudairi, of Jordan Valley Solidarity said:
“They are implementing the annexation plans discussed by President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu years ago, which the occupation forces have begun applying in the Jordan Valley. This means isolating all Palestinian villages and lands from the rest of the West Bank governorates and preventing residents from accessing their lands. The Tubas and Jordan Valley governorate, with an area of 415 square kilometers, will see approximately 74% of the lands of the people of Tubas and Tammun isolated. This will devastate the farmers’ economy, particularly in the agricultural sector, as well as the livestock sector. Through this policy of apartheid and discrimination, the occupying government is placing more than 50,000 residents in an uninhabitable prison, isolating them from life, the economy, and the freedom to work, move, access education, and healthcare. All of this is done by the occupation to destroy the resources necessary for survival and life, and even to escalate violence and destruction in an attempt to displace all Palestinians from their land.”
