This is not a religious festival – this is ethnic cleansing
April 6 2026, Hammamat Al Maleh — Israeli settlers ‘celebrated’ Passover next to the homes of Palestinians they forcibly displaced and a local school they shut down after relentless harassment and violent attacks.
In January settler violence and demolitions escalated after the establishment of an outpost right next to Hammamat Al Maleh and the neighbouring Al Miteh and Al Burj.
In February, settlers burnt down a family’s home in Al Miteh, and hospitalised the head of the local council after beating him unconscious in Al Maleh. The settlers and the army eventually displaced over 15 families in the area.
Settlers have also forced the local school, which the settlers are trespassing on in this video, to close after raiding the school office and building multiple times. Two weeks ago they stole the school’s water tank, trashed equipment and documents, and damaged the doors.
There is a coordinated effort between the Israeli army and settlers to claim Jordan Valley as their own and force Palestinians off their land. The Israeli army has announced their plans building the “Crimson Thread” apartheid wall through the Jordan Valley that will run from the Tayasir checkpoint to the Hamra checkpoint. It will eventually become a 300-mile barrier spanning all the way from the occupied Golan Heights to the Red Sea.
