On Sunday 4th October the Israeli occupation forces confiscated two lorry loads of bananas in the Al-Baq’iya Plain, just as as Al-Furat Agricultural Company began harvesting.

This attack comes amidst the difficult circumstances that farmers in the Al-Baq’iya Valley face, including restrictions, harassment and the ongoing targeting of their agricultural land and livelihoods, which threaten Palestinian agricultural production and food security.

The targeting of farmers and the confiscation of their crops do not merely result in economic losses; they also deal a blow to the resilience of Palestinian farmers. Despite all challenges, these farmers cling to their land and continue to work it.
