On the night of 24th/25th January 2026 a group of settlers sneaked into the village of Khirbet El Deir, near Ein el Beida in the northern Jordan Valley. They attempted to steal the metal frames that the community use for their homes and animal shelters, that were loaded onto a trailer. The community would have lost a lot of valuable equipment if it hadn’t been for the person who saw the settlers and raised the alarm.

A group of men from the community were able to stop the settlers, take the metal frames off the settler vehicle and put it back on the original trailer and the settlers were so outnumbered that they had not choice but to leave empty handed.
