Israel dig more water wells in the Jordan Valley
For few days Israel is expanding its water wells in Arab Il Kaabneh area, in the Southern Jordan Valley. The water well is located just beside a Palestinian Bedouin community.
No Palestinian have access to this water which goes directly into the different settlements that surrounds the Palestinian communities.
Palestinians have to buy their drinking water that runs under their feet to the Israeli water company Mekorot, driving dozens of kilometers with their tractor and mobile water tank.
Settlers enjoy free irrigation water and few days the Israeli government annonced it will double the size of settlements farms in the Jordan Valley. Which means they will as well enhance their water consumption which is already one of the highest in the world.
This plan is, again, clearly showing the Israeli willing to take full control of the Jordan Valley, using all its resources and preventing Palestinians to have access to them.
