Four homes were demolished in a Bedouin community North West of al-Duyuk village which is located in Jericho City.

Al-Duyuk village is located in area A but the Bedouin community which had their homes demolished is located outside the boundary in area C.

30 military vehicles and over 100 soldiers arrived early this morning and declared the area a ‘closed military zone’ before bulldozers started demolitions.

The homes belonged to Musbah Ali Mutur, Amar al-Fakhory, Mohammad Ali al-Haaj and Ali al-Dallam. 

A spokesperson for Israeli authorities said the homes were demolished because they were without a permit.

Palestinian officials said 30 homes were under threat from demolition orders because they were without permit.

Vered Yericho, an illegal Israeli colony with a population of 161 has recently expanded its agricultural land towards the community of al-Duyuk village.
