Settler attacks continue
On 8th January 2024, a group of settlers and the occupation army stormed Khirbet Arab Al-Kaabneh, located towards the south of the Jordan Valley, between the city of Jericho and the village of Al-Auja. They have started to build a fence around the homes of the Palestinian residents to prevent their access to the agricultural land and the main road. It is clear that this is the first step, and to close the area, in order to evacuate and expel the Palestinians from their land.
On 7th January, a group of settlers beat Qadri Daraghmeh and he was taken to Ain al-Bayda dispensary. The attack was carried out while transporting water to the cows while they were near the village of Marj Naaja in the northern Jordan Valley. He is currently stable. The settlers’ attacks have clearly escalated since they were publicly issued with weapons by the occupation government.
