Sustainable community centre built in 24 hrs
Our latest project in Fasayil village is an amazing round community centre, built with a wooden frame and mud bricks. We brought together international and local volunteers, who worked together to build the centre in just 24 hours.
This will provide a new space for workshops, training and meetings by Jordan Valley Solidarity and for all sections of the community to use for social and cultural activities.
Like 95% of the Jordan Valley, Fasayil al Fouqa is in area C, and the local people are systematiallcy denied permission to build by the military occupation that we live under. So our new community centre is not only an essential resource for the local people, but also a direct challenge to the occupation.
