Workshop for environmental activists: call for participants
Building local communities of resistance in Palestine based on environmental justice and self-sufficiency
This workshop aims to shed light on the nexus between water, food and energy from the Palestinian perspective of life under occupation. It takes an in-depth look at theories of politics, the environment, and colonial ideology. The workshop will focus on community-based solutions as a means to achieving sovereignty over natural resources. It re-emphasises natural and ecological elements as complementary to the political struggle in the context of people’s resistance.
Themes that we will focus on: the sustainability of society under the colonialism of natural resources | Environmental resistance and its intersection with people’s resistance | environmental advocacy campaigns in Palestine: the tools and skills.
