Settlers attack farmer in Khirbet Tal al-Hama
On 28th September 2025 at 3 p.m. Rafea Mohammed Abdel Karim Faqha, a citizen of Khirbet Tal al-Hama (northern Jordan Valley) was assaulted by a group of settlers while shepherding with his herd of cattle near Ain Al-Hamma. A white Toyota truck and a Ranger vehicle carrying several young settlers arrived at the scene. One of them approached Rafea and tried to steal an amount of money from his shirt pocket. When Rafea tried to stop him, 3 to 4 other settlers attacked him. Rafea’s son saw his father fall to the ground, approached him trying to defend him, but one of the settlers sprayed his face with tear gas, causing him to fall beside his father. Several locals arrived quickly at the scene and helped the father and son by washing their faces to remove the effects of the gas. The settlers left the area as soon as the locals arrived.
Note that the settlers enter Khirbet Tal Al-Hama on a daily basis and cut off the water pipes. They are trying to control the Khirbet Tal Al-Hama water spring to deprive the population of water as part of the displacement policy.
