On 30 July 2019, Soldiers and Civil Administration entered the community of Ras Al Ahmar and destroyed three houses, a tent and other property belonging to three families.

The demolitions were carried out under a new law, which allows the state, in some circumstances, to carry out demolitions in Area C without an order from the court. This increases the pressure on the Palestinian communities living in Area C.

When Jordan Valley Solidarity volunteers arrived at the scene, they were detained by Israeli soldiers and had their IDs and camera equipment confiscated. A JVS Volunteer was also detained. The equipment was not returned to them until much later that day.
