ABOUT FASAY’IL

Some 2,000 people live in the three parts of Fasay’il. The community experiences regular land confiscation by the two colonies of Tomer and Petza’el. The built-up area of Fasay’il al Tahte was designated as Area B under the Oslo Accords, whereas Fasay’il al Wusta (middle part of the village) and Fasay’il al Fauqa (upper part of the village) are Area C. The community in Fasay’il al Wusta has faced a series of home demolitions over the last year, and is at imminent threat of further demolitions and eviction. Fasay’il al Fauqa is an encouraging example of grass-roots resistance: members of the community and Jordan Valley Solidarity volunteers built a school providing education to 108 students and a small health clinic. The school and clinic offer access to services otherwise denied and thus support the community to stay in their land

JORDAN VALLEY SOLIDARITY

Jordan Valley Solidarity campaign is a network of Palestinian grassroots community groups from all over the Jordan Valley and international supporters. Our aims are to protect Palestinian existence and the unique environment of the Jordan Valley by building international support and supporting communities on the ground. This includes monitoring, recording and aiming to prevent the abuse of Palestinian human rights by the Israeli occupation and settlers

PLAYBACK THEATRE

Audience members share autobiographical accounts and watch as a team of actors and musicians instantly transform these accounts into improvised theatre pieces. Playback Theatre provides opportunity for education, advocacy and community building.
