Israeli settlers have repeatedly attacked the family of Faisal Masaeed in Khirbet Yarza in the northern Jordan Valley, east of Tubas.

On 30th April 2025, a group of settlers attacked Faisal and tried to steal his sheep. Faisal and his son Kamel bravely stood their ground and prevented the settlers from stealing the sheep. The settlers assaulted Faisal, causing bruises on his body, and Kamel sustained injuries to his leg and hand.

When the neighbors arrived, the settlers fled. The family is living in a state of fear, especially since a week ago settlers sabotaged the water pipeline and water tank of the Masaeed family.

The settlers come from the new settlement that was established two months ago near the Tayasir checkpoint.

The local community are appealing to the international community to stop the settlers’ violations. They have no protection against these attacks and their only option is to stay on their land and protect their families and livelihoods. If they give in to the settler violence and leave they no their land will be taken.
