Violent settlers have attacked yet another family in Ein El Hilwe.

On the night of 29th/30th April 2026 they attacked the family of Sati, who were living in a tent in Ein El Hilwe in the northern Jordan Valley. They stormed the family’s home at 3am, shouting and attacking the family members with pepper spray.

They beat 58 year old Sati, inflicting a deep laceration to his head which required seven stitches and a complete break to a bone in his forearm.

They also attacked his son, Ayman, causing severe bruising/contusions to his body. They also killed the family’s horse.

Although the attack happened at 3.00am, luckily the ambulance was able to reach the family quickly and take them to the Turkish Hospital in Tubas for treatment.

This was not an isolated incident, but part of an ongoing campaign of settler and state violence aimed at forcing Palestinian families to leave their land.

Last year settlers attacked and beat Sati’s wife as she attempted to collect water from the natural spring that gave this community it’s name (Sweet Water).

Two months ago, in February 2026, the home of Sati’s sister, Fatima (also in Ein El Hilwe) was demolished, leaving her with nowhere to live.
