Silent crimes in the Jordan Valley
Since the beginning of October, what is happening in the Jordan Valley is a silent crime that cannot be ignored.
Five settlers have seized thousands of dunams of Palestinian land, all registered with title deeds, as well as agricultural lands that are cultivated every year. These settlers fenced off the lands and prevented Palestinian shepherds and farmers from entering or even approaching them, amid a complete absence of any legal or official action to stop this dangerous expansion.
Today, the lands of the Palestinian Jordan Valley have become an open target for settlers who exploit silence and neglect, while the rightful landowners are deprived of their natural right to farm, graze, and live with dignity on their own land — as part of a policy of stealing and confiscating Palestinian lands, isolating Palestinians, and preventing them from accessing their property.

On October 25, the occupation army arrested Youssef Bsharat for several hours, assaulted and beat him while his hands were tied and his eyes were blindfolded, in an attempt to pressurise him to leave the Jordan Valley.
In Khirbet Makhul, in the northern Jordan Valley, crimes are being committed by settlers, who are terrorizing children and frightening livestock and sheep. These ongoing assaults create an atmosphere of fear and instability for the residents.

On October 27, a group of settlers stole the irrigation networks belonging to the citizen Jamal Abu Al-Aida from his corn-planted farm, despite his determination to keep cultivating the land despite the harassment. They pulled out the irrigation system by tying it to a car.
On October 29, groups of settlers stole two cows belonging to citizen Hafez Masaeed from Khirbet Yarza.

In light of these continued violations, we raise our voices to all human rights, humanitarian, and international organizations, calling for urgent and immediate intervention to protect the unarmed residents of the area and to provide them with the necessary support to safeguard them from these attacks.
