On the morning of May 7th 2026, Israeli occupation bulldozers, accompanied by forces from the army, police, and so-called “settlement security officers,” carried out demolition and land-levelling operations targeting agricultural greenhouses in the Northern Jordan Valley village of Bardala.

These attacks resulted in the destruction of large agricultural areas distributed as follows:

  • 3 dunams belonging to farmer Sahab Sawafta
  • 3 dunams belonging to farmer Saqr Sawafta
  • 2 dunams belonging to farmer Mahmoud Sawafta

This attack directly targeted the livelihoods of the Palestinian farmers, and is a part of a systematic policy aimed at destroying agricultural lands and depriving residents of their right to farming and a dignified life.

JVS calls on the Ministry of Agriculture and all official, civil, and human rights institutions to urgently intervene to document these violations, provide support to the affected farmers, and work toward rehabilitating the damaged agricultural lands.
